DESCRIPTION OF TECHNIQUE:
Tim Fleming, fine art photographer

Tim's landscape images are made with Medium Format as well as Large Format cameras. Both produce exceptionally detailed original film transparencies. A high resolution (200Mb) Tango drum scan is made from these originals, and adjusted in Adobe Photoshop. This software allows a high degree of control over color, hue and saturation. When the artist is satisfied, a "digital negative" is saved to a disk. Final output for prints larger than 24 x30" is to the LightJet 5000, a state of the art digital printer that uses red, green and blue lasers to expose conventional photographic paper. For smaller prints, Tim uses a Hewlett Packard DesignJet 130, an archival Giclée printer capable of producing stunning prints of unmatched clarity and vividness.
